General Office (also Party Affairs Office)
The Office manages the museum's documents, confidential matters, official seals, letters and visits, legal consultation and archives; organizes the museum's major comprehensive meetings and compiles and distributes the records and minutes of the meetings; coordinates business contacts with higher authorities and related organizations; organizes and coordinates major museum-level events and supervises the implementation of major matters; handles daily Party and mass organization affairs; manages entry/exit procedures for staff and coordinates foreign, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan-related projects; edits wall newspapers and work bulletins, and collects, organizes, reports, and releases important museum information; coordinates the Museum's institutional development; drafts the annual work summaries and plans; records and publishes the schedule of the leadership, and liaises and reports for leaders' participation in official and external activities; manages the print room, meeting rooms, Party activity room, and VIP rooms, and coordinates official receptions; manages the daily work of the Guangdong Museum Council; and handles other tasks assigned by museum leadership.

Human Resources Department
The Department manages the Museum's internal organizational structure, staffing, and post arrangement, the assessment, attendance, deployment, professional title evaluation, appointment/removal, political review, rewards, punishments, and retirement of middle-management cadres and permanent staff; handles the public recruitment and hiring of personnel; manages the recruitment and administration of contract staff; oversees salary audits for permanent and contract staff; manages personnel files and data, the family planning, public medical care, insurance, and other benefits for all staff, as well as managing retired personnel; drafts and implements the annual training plan; and handles other tasks assigned by museum leadership.

Finance Department
The Department manages the museum's financial accounting, including auditing original vouchers, completing fund transactions, preparing and auditing accounting vouchers, maintaining ledgers, preparing financial statements, and declaring and paying taxes; guides and participates in the preparation of annual budgets for the museum and its departments, supervises budget execution, and organizes performance evaluations; guides and supervises the financial management and accounting of the Guangdong Museum Development Foundation, Guangdong Provincial Museums Association, and Guangdong Museum Trade Union Committee; organizes the Museum's financial audits and inspections; participates in the review and decision-making for major economic contracts and matters, and handles cost estimates and settlement audits for engineering projects; manages the value of the Museum's fixed assets, intangible assets, and inventory; and handles other tasks assigned by museum leadership.

Management Department of Guangzhou Lu Xun Museum
The Department promotes the spirit of Lu Xun, and manages and develops the Guangzhou Lu Xun Museum; manages, protects, and utilizes the Site of the First National Congress of the Kuomintang, and the Site of Guangdong Gongyuan (Imperial Examination Hall); manages and protects the cultural relics in the collection of the Guangzhou Lu Xun Museum; promotes revolutionary culture, inherits the "red gene," and deeply explores the value and cultural elements of the revolutionary relics in the collection, leveraging the rich resource advantages; and handles other tasks assigned by museum leadership.

Collection Management Department
The Department manages the Museum's non-natural history collections and storage facilities on a science-based manner; handles the accessioning of non-natural history collections, including registration, cataloging, archiving, classification and statistics, as well as the in-and-out storage management of collections; formulates and implements the annual acquisition plan for non-natural history collections; conducts professional research based on the Museum's cultural relics, specimens, and data; assists in the construction and management of the collection information system; manages, updates, and maintains the exhibits for the Museum's permanent history and art exhibitions; assists in the preparation of various museum exhibitions; manages the general ledger and archives for non-natural history collections; and handles other tasks assigned by museum leadership.

Exhibition Center
The Center serves as the executive body of the Guangdong Museum Exhibition Committee, undertaking its daily work, including: organizing committee meetings, collectively reviewing and determining the museum's short, medium, and long-term development plans for exhibitions; collectively reviewing exhibition projects and progress; overseeing the selection of annual exhibition project leaders; handling budget preparation and scheduling for annual exhibition projects; managing the exhibition design and production, and providing 3D and graphic design for the museum's various operational needs; assisting with construction management and exhibition installation/deinstallation; managing the introduction and promotion of domestic and international exhibitions; maintaining the exhibition archives; and handling other tasks assigned by museum leadership.

Center for Conservation Technology
The Center undertakes physical conservation, restoration, preventive conservation, replication, rubbing, analysis, and testing of the Museum's cultural relics (collections), as well as commissioned services for conservation, restoration, preventive conservation, replication, rubbing, analysis, and testing of relics from external institutions; conducts scientific and technological research on cultural relics, including condition surveys and assessments, material and production technique analysis, conservation materials, methods and effectiveness evaluation, preservation environments, analytical techniques, replication technology, and rubbing technology; undertakes training related to conservation technology; manages and maintains the department's laboratories and related equipment; and handles other tasks assigned by museum leadership.

Education Center
The Center organizes various museum educational activities; manages the Museum's guided tour services and the management, use, and training of property tour guides; designs, compiles, and organizes educational courses; manages and operates the Patriotism Education Base, Science Popularization Base, and Research and Practice Education Base, as well as the Youth Activity Center and Training Rooms 2 and 3, and related activities; recruits, trains, and manages volunteers and museum members; compiles and distributes museum promotional materials and exhibition brochures; and handles other tasks assigned by museum leadership.

Public Service Department
The Department manages open service spaces, including all exhibition halls, the medical room, and the nursing room, as well as the exhibits within all exhibition halls; manages visitor flow and ticketing during open hours, and handles emergencies; formulates and supervises the implementation of duties, operational norms, and other rules for service staff; coordinates work related to "A Beautiful GDM" initiative; maintains and manages the wayfinding system and visitor service facilities; conducts visitor surveys and collects/relays visitor feedback; handles public liability insurance matters; and handles other tasks assigned by museum leadership.

Natural History Department
The Department manages the museum's natural history collections, data, and storage facilities; handles the registration, cataloging, archiving, and accessioning of natural history collections, and manages their in-and-out from storage; formulates and implements the annual acquisition plan for natural history collections; conducts professional research based on the Museum's natural history collections; manages, updates, and maintains the exhibits for the Museum's permanent natural history exhibition; assists in the preparation of the Museum's temporary natural history exhibitions; manages the general ledger and archives for natural history collections; and handles other tasks assigned by museum leadership.

Mobile Museum
The Mobile Museum formulates its plans and annual schedules; organizes the collection, selection, and production of traveling exhibitions, and formulates and implements the annual tour plan; organizes and coordinates educational activities and lectures to accompany the traveling exhibitions; organizes annual meetings, seminars, and training for member institutions; manages the daily operations of the Guangdong Mobile Museum's WeChat official account and website sub-page; manages the Mobile Museum's member institutions and coordinates and promotes exchanges and cooperation among them; manages exchanges and cooperation with institutions outside the province, improves exhibition services based on demand, strengthens the Mobile Museum brand, and creates a brand effect; and handles other tasks assigned by museum leadership.

Library
The library manages the museum's book and documents, and storage; undertakes the procurement, receiving, registration, classification, cataloging, accessioning, lending, and sorting of library materials; manages the registration, cataloging, archiving, accessioning, digitization, storage in-and-out, conservation and restoration of the museum's ancient books and Republican-era documents, and formulates and implements acquisition plans for them; manages the in-and-out storage of the Museum's publications; conducts professional research based on the library's collection; operates the library's open space; and handles other tasks assigned by museum leadership.

Research Department
The Department undertakes specialized research projects; organizes the application for and management of various research projects at all levels, and supervises their progress and the use of research funds; formulates research plans, drafts regulations for research project management, and compiles and publishes the Museum's research project guidelines; coordinates work related to "An Academia-oriented GDM" initiative; manages the postdoctoral research workstation; liaises academically with cultural institutions, research institutes, and universities; manages the daily work of the Academic Committee; organizes and promotes the Museum's major academic conferences and activities; and handles other tasks assigned by museum leadership.

Cultural and Creative Industries Department
The Department manages the design, R&D, promotion, and sales of the Museum's cultural and creative products; coordinates and manages the Museum's authorized dealers of cultural and creative products, as well as the Museum's commercial activities and venues; manages the daily work of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Guangdong) Cultural and Creative Alliance and the Guangdong Cultural and Creative Alliance; undertakes the daily work of the Cultural and Creative Leadership Group; and handles other tasks assigned by museum leadership.

Media Convergence Center
The Center formulates and implements the Museum's media work plan; integrates and operates the Museum's social media platforms to optimize communication services; liaises with social media, discovers and provides useful materials, and archives reports; coordinates the Museum's brand building, promotion, and public relations maintenance; monitors public opinion in real-time, and makes analysis, judgment, and prompt response; conducts research on the Museum's communication effectiveness; collects and submits Museum's government affairs information; and handles other tasks assigned by museum leadership.

The Center formulates and implements the Museum's media work plan; integrates and operates the Museum's social media platforms to optimize communication services; liaises with social media, discovers and provides useful materials, and archives reports; coordinates the Museum's brand building, promotion, and public relations maintenance; monitors public opinion in real-time, and makes analysis, judgment, and prompt response; conducts research on the Museum's communication effectiveness; collects and submits Museum's government affairs information; and handles other tasks assigned by museum leadership.

Information Technology Department
The Department develops the overall plans for and implements the Museum's cybersecurity and informatization; researches and develops and maintains the smart museum platform, application systems, and digital displays; coordinates the digitization of the Museum's collection; ensures the normal and safe operation of network equipment, servers, multimedia, and other devices, and handles daily maintenance and upgrades of related software and hardware; technically manages and maintains the official website; manages, maintains, and backs up the museum's electronic data; and handles other tasks assigned by museum leadership.

Security Department
The Department undertakes the Museum's security work, including fire safety, security defense, and internal comprehensive management; conducts daily patrols, surveillance, and electronic monitoring of the spaces under the Museum's jurisdiction; manages the Museum's security and fire protection system equipment, as well as the access control for the door security system; organizes security, fire, and anti-terrorism emergency drills and training for museum staff; establishes and improves the Museum's security systems and emergency plans, and implements security checks and duty rosters; supervises the Museum's property management service center in fulfilling its security duties as stipulated in the contract; manages contract-based internal security personnel; and handles other tasks assigned by museum leadership.

Logistics Management Department
The Department manages and maintains the Museum's property and facilities; manages, dispatches, uses, and maintains museum vehicles; registers and manages the Museum's fixed assets; handles the government procurement of museum supplies, projects, and services, and assists departments with non-government procurement processes; procures, stores, maintains, and distributes office supplies, equipment (including computers, printers, conference systems, etc.), and consumables; operates and manages the staff canteen; communicates with, coordinates, and supervises the Museum's property service provider, and ensures they fulfil their contractual duties; and handles other tasks assigned by museum leadership.
